The Epilepsy Alliance of Utah is dedicated to providing awareness and education about epilepsy. It is dedicated to fully including people with epilepsy into society, advocating for their personal rights, and providing assistance with their medical needs.

2015 Gala - An Evening of Celebration

Date: May 29, 2015 - Door opens at 6:00pm and dinner at 6:30pm
Location: IJ & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center, 2 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City
Admission: $70 per person or $120 per couple
Tickets: Beginning April 10, tickets available online, via mail, and at the door

Eventbrite - 2015 Gala - An Evening of Celebration

This elegant evening includes a sit down dinner, live auction, silent auction and learning the latest. The entire evening is fun-filled and will be a celebration of the Alliance's beginning and merge with the Epilepsy Foundation. Phil Gattone, CEO/President of Epilepsy Foundation will speaking about the future for services in Utah and Matthew T. Sweeney, M.D., M.S. will speak about "Managing Drug-Resistant Epilepsy with Neuromodulation: Past, Present, and Future Directions." The evening will raise awareness about the health challenges facing Utahns with epilepsy. Proceeds go to support the services given by the Epilepsy Alliance of Utah. Come have an enjoyable and educational evening!

Reason to Ride - Raise Epilepsy Awareness

Date: Saturday May 2, 2015 - Registration and Coffee starts at 9am and the ride at 11am
Location: Begins at Addictive Behavior Motor Works, 547 West 700 South, Salt Lake City; Ends at Totem's, 538 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City
Admission: FREE - All contributions go to the Epilepsy Alliance of Utah and will assist them in continuing to serve people and families dealing with epilepsy

Have friends, family and children meet you at Totem's and enjoy a great Spaghetti dinner. We are pleased to once again be the nonprofit sponsored by the B.A.S.T.A.R.D.S. Riding Club.

Fun Run Update

2015 "Seize the Night!" - 5K Fun Run/Walk

Date: September 12, 2015
Time: Registration at 6:15 PM and the run begins at 6:45 PM
Location: Sugar House Park, 1350 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah
Admission: Seize the Day!: $12-25 || Seize the Night!: $20

Lace up your shoes, crack open your glow sticks and get ready for an electrifying 5K Fun Run/Walk. Epilepsy Alliance of Utah proudly presents "Seize the Night", a unique community event featuring an enlightening nighttime 5k aimed at raising epilepsy awareness. Come and enjoy the evening.

ADD Program Symposium

The University of Utah Anticonvulsant Drug Development Program is proud to serve as host for a symposium entitled "Therapy Development in the Era of Team Science and Big Data: What Will the Future Bring to the Patient with Epilepsy?" to be held May 17-20, 2015. The goal of the symposium is to explore how innovative breakthroughs in basic science can be leveraged by public, federal, and private partnerships to rapidly develop new treatments for the patient with epilepsy.
