The Epilepsy Alliance of Utah is dedicated to providing awareness and education about epilepsy. It is dedicated to fully including people with epilepsy into society, advocating for their personal rights, and providing assistance with their medical needs.

Love UT Give UT

March 31st is the day to spread the love in Utah. On that day our state will come together online for 24 hours of generosity. It is an extraordinary day to help support us. Studio E: The Epilepsy Art Therapy Program

Dates: March 12, 19, 26, April 2, and 9, 2016
Time: 2:30pm -- 5:00pm
Location: Art Access, 230 South 500 West #110, Salt Lake City, Utah
Admission: Free, with advance registration

Studio E is a multi-week art therapy program open to people with epilepsy in over fifty U.S. cities, where participants are given the opportunity to creatively express themselves and their emotions. Epilepsy Alliance of Utah, Art Access, and the Epilepsy Foundation are excited to bring you the opportunity to express yourself through art as part of a multi-week art therapy program. Class size is limited to 12 adult participants.

You'll work with art therapist Ida Yoked (MA, ATR) and other people with epilepsy in a group setting to create art pieces using visual art mediums. Participants will strengthen their artistic voice and help raise awareness about the realities of life with epilepsy and learn from others.

2016 Gala - An Evening of Celebration

Date: May 14, 2016
Time: Door opens at 6:00pm and dinner at 6:30pm
Location: IJ & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center, 2 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah
Admission: $75 per person
Tickets: Beginning April 10, tickets available online, via mail, and at the door

This elegant evening includes a sit down dinner, live auction, silent auction and learning the latest. The entire evening is fun-filled and will be a celebration of accomplishments.

Misty Smith, PhD, a research assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy, University of Utah, will be sharing a better understanding of the nature of the CBD:ASD interactions.

The evening will raise awareness about the health challenges facing Utahns with epilepsy. Proceeds go to support the services given by the Epilepsy Alliance of Utah. Come have an enjoyable and educational evening!

Date: August 2-4 and 9-11, 2016
Time: 10:00am -- 12:00pm

Studio E is a twelve hour art therapy program open to people with epilepsy in 50 cities. Participants are given the opportunity to creatively express themselves and their emotions. This national program is being sponsored by Lundbeck, the Epilepsy Foundation, and Art Access. They are excited to provide this opportunity for 10 child participants.

Chosen individuals will be participating with Art Therapist, Jill Johnson (MAAT.) It will take place in a group setting to create art pieces that use visual art mediums. Participants will strengthen their artistic voice and help raise awareness about the realities of living with epilepsy.
